NAC - About

Niagara Art Conservation (NAC) is owned and operated by paper conservator, Stephanie Porto. Stephanie holds a Master of Arts and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation from Buffalo State College (Buffalo, NY). In addition, she has gained conservation experience working under several talented professionals in private practice in western New York and at various world-renowned museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film.

Before becoming interested in art conservation Stephanie studied printmaking and photography, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (New York, NY).

Stephanie is a member of the International Association of Book and Paper Conservators (IADA), the Canadian Association for Conservation (CAC) and the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC), and a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC).
